Project Sites
Darkhan: you will be working with Jerry and Susan Smith of Change the World Ministries. They have an active program to help the children living on the streets and in the orphanages of Darkhan. We will help with medical, spiritual and some construction needs in this area.
You will be lodged at a small hotel in Darkhan. Rooms will be shared, but each room should have a bathroom. Hot water is not always available, so please think about packing a solar shower if you have room. Electrical current is 220 volts, so please bring a converter if you are packing electrical devices. (The current in North America is 110 volts.) Meals will be a mixture of Mongolian and American cuisine – lots of meat and potatoes!
Important Information
The project fees for this mission will be $1175.00 (USD) plus airfare unless otherwise noted. MMI does not have the permanent facilities in Mongolia as we do in other regions (such as Honduras and the Dominican Republic), therefore the costs of setting up and completing this mission are a little higher. Please contact Julie in the Texas office if you have any questions, as we do not want the cost of the mission to hinder your participation.
Please note: There will be no smoking, drinking or use of foul language on this project! We do not want to offend those that we have come to serve.
