Thank you for sharing your love and concern for those less fortunate in Nepal.
Project Sites
MMI teams serve in small, rural villages in the Katmandu Valley. (Mostly in the Patan district and Bhaktapur area.) Many of the patients will have general medical problems. Dentistry is also a great need in Nepal as well as cleft lip and palate cases.
Please contact Julie in the Texas office if you have any questions regarding the visas or fees, as we do not want the cost of the mission to affect your participation.
Housing
Accommodations are at a modest hotel in Katmandu or in a guesthouse. Meals will be mostly Nepali – either served at the project location or in the hotel or a local restaurant.
Electricity
Electricity is 220 volts in Nepal. Please remember to pack a converter if you are bringing electrical devices. Hot showers should be available.
